John A. Wheeler

Founder & Managing Principal

John A. Wheeler is the founder of Wheelhouse Advisors LLC and brings over twenty years of strategic, financial operations and risk management professional experience to the firm. Mr. Wheeler most recently served as Senior Vice President and Senior Risk Officer within the Corporate Risk Management division at a major U.S. financial institution. In this role, Mr. Wheeler’s responsibilities included providing direction and corporate-wide oversight of the company’s risk management and financial reporting compliance program.

Mr. Wheeler has also directed financial reporting, shared services, and corporate accounting operations in both the entertainment and healthcare industries. In addition, Mr. Wheeler has wide-ranging experience providing financial operations and information technology advisory services with two global accounting / professional services firms.

As a result of his leadership in risk management and financial reporting compliance, Mr. Wheeler was recognized in 2005 as one of the “Top 40 Finance Executives under 40” and one of the “100 Most Influential People in Finance” by Treasury & Risk Management Magazine.

Mr. Wheeler received both his Master of Business Administration degree and his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University.
