S9E1: Stop Buying GRC Hype
Your GRC stack can generate perfect audit evidence and still leave the business exposed. We just released the 2026-2027 IRM Navigator Vendor Compass for Governance, Risk, and Compliance, and we are using it to cut through the loudest AI claims in the GRC software market and get brutally practical about what actually improves enterprise resilience.
We walk through the maturity gap we keep seeing across governance, risk, and compliance programs: organizations jump from spreadsheets to shiny platforms, yet continuous control monitoring stays limited, AI governance lives as a static policy document, and “automation” turns into an island of compliance that never reaches operational risk routines or board reporting. That is the GRC integration trap, and it can make teams do the wrong work faster.
